Here at TVH we are wildly passionate about bringing this conversation into the light and moving away from the ‘push hard, hustle hard, don’t stop’ way of operating into a way that feels more intuitive. A cyclical way of being.

We have seen how this can impact our clients to move from a crash and burn way of working to an approach that feels much more gentle, supportive and holds a deep reverence for our bodies. 

It is beautiful and excites us so much to think of how much more feminine magic we can tap into if we allow ourselves to untangle and de-condition from the current ways of working.

This existing way of operating in the world where we are expected to run hard at life every day with vigour and consistency is both unrealistic and unhealthy. No wonder we are all fucking exhausted!

We are cyclical beings. Our inner energy replicates the cyclical energy of nature. We experience fury bursts of energy…like summer where everything is out and visible and bursting with life. AND…we experience more gentle introspective energy…like winter where we need to turn inwards.

Imagine a society where these cycles are respected and revered? Where burnout is not a thing! Where we rest when we need to rest. And we give it some welly when we are fired up and bursting with energy! 

Building a deep connected awareness of your menstrual cycle, your inner cycle, is one of the most powerful things you can do. It supports you to manage your energy in a way that you can shine your gifts out into the world brightly and consistently over the course of your life.

TIP 1: Chart your cycle

Bring mindful awareness to how you feel on each day of your cycle. Start to notice your body, your energy, your mood, your dreams, your desires. Catch it all - use a journal, a spreadsheet, or an app tracker. Over time you will start to see a pattern emerging. This knowledge is wisdom. You can start to pre-empt what you need / do not need at different times of your cycle.

TIP 2: Give yourself some space to retreat during your bleed

Menstruation is your ‘inner winter’. It is a time that calls for deep retreat and restoration. Mark it out in your calendar and forward plan so you can move more slowly during this time, rest more than normal and spend less time sending your energy out into the world. If you are able to honour this time, you will emerge as a more fresh and evolved iteration of yourself.

TIP 3: Read ‘Wild Power’ by Alexandra Pope & Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer

This book will blow your socks off! It will introduce you to the concept of your inner seasons plus so much more. And provides some practical ways that you can honour your cycles and manage your energy.
