Working against gender bias.


I am going to ask you to get really honest with yourself this week. It’s going to feel a bit crunchy!

You ready?! 😳

👉🏻 Within your partnership, do you feel like the domestic workload and childcare is split in an equal and fair way?

👉🏻 Do you feel like the work you do is valued as much as your partner’s irrespective of the financial compensation?

👉🏻 Do you feel like your hobbies and passions are given the same amount of energy and time as your partner’s?

And then at work…

👉🏻 Do you feel like your voice, thoughts and ideas are listened to and given respect?

👉🏻 Do you feel safe and supported to speak up about what you need in the workplace to operate at your best?

👉🏻 Do you feel like you are taken seriously at work irrespective of what you wear / look like?

Gender bias is still prevalent. So much of the bias is unconscious…from both men and women…but it is there. Even within ourselves.

We can acknowledge that things are wildly better for us than they were for our mothers and grandmothers…but do not let that be enough!

It is time to lean in harder than ever.
