Case Study: Clearscore Women Rising Programme

 
 

THE BUSINESS:

ClearScore is a FinTech business dedicated to helping users improve their financial wellbeing. Clearscore is the #1 way to access your financial data, including credit report and score, and Open Banking data and considered #15 best large company to work for in the UK and the #4 best financial services company to work for. Clearscore is based in London, operates in the UK, South Africa, Australia and Canada and have over 20+ million users across the globe.

THE PROJECT:

In 2022 Clearscore engaged with us to work with their emerging female leaders through our Women Rising Programme. They wanted to focus on strengthening their women in leadership pipeline; building capability and upskilling existing talent to hold future senior leadership and board positions. Existing training had not been working and they wanted to try something different.

THE WORK:

We agreed to a multi-year partnership with Clearscore, each year putting between 8-10 female leaders through our Women Rising Programme which includes an offsite immersion day, 5 x online workshops, 3 x one-to-one coaching sessions for each participant and an in-person impact and action session to wrap up the programme. This kicked off with the pilot in 2022, followed by a follow up cohort in 2023 and a new cohort scheduled to go through the programme in 2024.

THE FOCUS:

The main focus of the programme was to support the leaders with:

  • Leadership identity: explore, identify with and build their unique leadership identity

  • Limiting patterns: uncover and overcome obstacles and unhelpful patterns of behaviour stopping them from stepping into this identity and diminishing impact

  • Sustainable impact: manage time and energy in a way that is unique to them and supports longer term impact and more joy at work

  • Authentic visibility: build their brand, use their voice and show up in alignment and integrity allowing themselves to be viewed as strong leaders within the organisation

  • Support network: form strong bonds with their peers and create a network of champions, mentors and guides who can support their career development

  • Inspiring change: galvanise their self confidence to create cultural change through the Women’s Network

THE IMPACT: 

We have seen a two fold impact - firstly on the business and secondly on the individuals.

As a business Clearscore have reduced their gender pay gap from 21% to 13.8% and they have credited our Women Rising programme as a key driver of this through “1:1 coaching, peer training, and collaboration, fostering their unique leadership identities. “

100% of leaders, realised a rise in self confidence over the course of the programme, with the following specifics noted:

  • Confidence to speak up in senior level meetings with my ideas and insights

  • Confidence to challenge existing systems and perspectives for the greater good of the business

  • Confidence to lead my team in a way that feels supportive and empowering

  • Confidence to own my gentle power and unique leadership style and not feel like I have to be someone that I am not

  • Confidence to ask for mentoring
